The Laurenzo Family’s Story
In 1949, Domenic Tommy Laurenzo, a Rhode Island native, moved from Providence to Houston, TX with his wife, Ninfa Laurenzo. Upon settling here, the Laurenzo family soon began their quest to make outstanding pizza dough, spaghetti sauces, tortillas, and tamales in the Second Ward area.
From the beginning, the Laurenzo family has been extremely dedicated to serving “Great Quality Food” to every customer. What started as a wholesale food business with a limited selection of items to sell, eventually grew into a family restaurant business. Today, the Laurenzo family has continued the rich family traditions of engaging in the joy of cooking and always striving to do better.
Laurenzo’s Bar & Grill’s main goal is to “treat our guests like they would treat their grandmother on the occasion of her 100th birthday.”
Our daily goals are to provide the “Best Quality in Food and Customer Service we can,” as well as to go the “Extra Mile” to delight our guests and make sure that they feel comfortable, cared for, and welcome.
